Jonathon Goldsmith.....
Based on your posting I can make many assumptions about you as a person. You must be young, young enough to not have experienced much in the musical world, or know enough good brass musicians or met any. Maybe you've spent too much time listening to Shostakovitch string quartets and not enough time listening to Phil Smith, Mark Lawrence, Thomas Bacon, Sam Pilafian, Joe Alessi...I could go on forever, but I won't because you're obviously not worth it. You've blasted all brass musicians because you're not enjoying your eighth grade band experience. If you live near a major orchestra...go visit them, listen to everything they play (even the brass parts) and then you can go backstage and tell them none of them are musicians....this would be a great idea. I'm SURE they would agree with you. Does your junior high band director know you feel this way?
