Just wanted to write a little about our "big gig" last night. A bunch of us get together every 4-6 weeks and go up to the nursing home for a jam session. There's Dick our MC on trombone, R.A. on tenor sax, Paul on banjo, Coy on electric guitar, Billy on piano, Doc on electric keyboard, J.R. on the trap set, E.Z. on the Fender Jazz Bass, and me on my old beat up Eb tuba. What a crew! It's all just head arrangements of the old tunes, and it is a good thing to do. When you see the old eyes light up and the feet and hands start tapping and clapping you realize just how powerfull and important music is. So, if any of you feel pressured by your studies, work or whatever, try giving a little fun to the Old Ones. You'll be glad you did. [;v}
