The only difference between most Sanders tubas and Cervany tubas is the name stenciled on the front of the bell. Most of the Sanders tubas are made for them by Cervany and then they put the Sanders name on the tuba for resale. I have heard of other manufacturers making tubas for Sanders in the past but I think all of them are made by Cervany today. The only advantage to having a Sanders over the comparable Cervany is that Sanders tubas are generally cheaper. But I believe they are the same equipment. So, I would check prices on Cervanys at someplace like Brasswind and then check prices on Sanders at Custom and see which is lower for the model you want. Anyone have any bets on this?
