I am a freelance tubist in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I also teach at Texas Christian University. This summer we are having our second summer jazz improv clinic. It is strictly about improvization. It is not a big band camp. All improv, all day, very intense. I host this camp along with a trumpet player, Larry Spencer. This is an extension of a jazz duo that we do, (trump, tuba, plus rhythm). You might find this very helpful. E-mail me privately or you might find info on the TCU webb sight. I hope you can make it. This is not just for the "traditional" jazz instruments. All brass players are welcomed. Brazzology means the study of Brass and jazz. That's what our group and the camp are about.
