I own an Alexander 3/4 5 valve CC I bought 20 years ago and use for my quintet playing. If you can find one of these try it. I like it very much and use it almost eveywhere I would consider using an F. In fact I like it better than an F. It has some "typical" Alexander intonation problems but the tone is tremendous. Try the Tuba exchange, they may have one.
