I had to leave town and was away from computers, but Dave said it... The Miraphones have fewer intonation problems, but also less sound, and a less interesting sound (opinion). I have experienced the same pitch quirks as Dave, and decided that between the Rudy and the Miraphone 186 or 188, the Rudy is the most interesting of the three. You also have to steer extremely carefully on Miraphones when playing low. Good luck.
