I have a older (mid 70's) 3/4 Rudy. I find it to be a very versatile horn, having used it in brass quintets, brass ensembles, and full symphony orchestras. For the way that I play and the people that I play with, it fits well into most situations. It doesn't have the hugest subwoofer type sound at the bell and behind it, but projects with great density and clarity. These horns are not very fashionable currently, but I find it works very well for me.
Albany Symphony, Proteus7, Boston Brass, etc.
