There's anothr reason, albeit not a common one, to use the trumpet book and that's if you're playing an Eb tuba. Just add 3 flats and play the notes as if they were BC. Your Eb fingering will match the trumpet fingering and you'll be playing in the proper "singing" range of your horn, rather than too low as would be the case if you used a version written for BBb tuba.

I'd love to take credit for this one, but alas, it's my teacher's idea and it works wonderfully.
