If you are looking for some basic tongueing methods try the following:

Herbert L. Clarke trumpet studies. (Claude Gordon Book) Exercise #2 #4

Earl Irons Trumpet Studies (quickness of the tongue)

Blume trombone study (note and articulation accuracy)

Use a metronome and increase the speed on a weekly basis. Start slow mm=60/16th notes for each beat.

ALso, be sure to use a syllable such as tah or toh. If you study the Irons book you will see a section over the arch or curvature of the tongue using different syllables. Try to use toh in the low to middle register to keep the arch of the tongue out of the airstream. As you move into the upper range, try to stay away from tee. This syllable closes off the airway by arching the middle of the tongue into the air stream. Also, try not to use as little mouthpiece pressure as possible.

As you a playing your tongueing exercises. Do not just blow air. Put a little pressure behind the airstream.

Hope this helps
