You've already gotten some good advice on this topic, but there is one thing I would like to add. Depending on the tempo and what the bass section is doing you will have to vary your technique so practice it slow metered, slow unmetered, fast metered and fast unmetered. All should resolve to with two sixteenths on the "and" of beat four. Practice it valved and unvalved. Practice the trill at one speed and practice accelerating the trill at the resoution. A bass section playing in the period of the piece will accelerate the trill, however climates vary and they may do one basic speed on the trill. As Joe S. stated before, this is NOT a solo, so practice it like something you will have to play with a section therefore, vary the entire excerpt's tempo, articulation, volume, and phrasing as well as the trill to be able to match the bass section in the best possible manner.
