Tim, here are some ideas:

To coordinate the tongue and the fingers I first make sure my fingers are moving in even rhythm. Finger the passage without playing and listen to the valves to make sure the fingers are moving evenly (This is personally my biggest problem with technical passages). Then take your mouthpiece and buzz the passage while fingering along. Fingering along while buzzing can help to isolate each of these and bring attention to inconsistencies. Once you think your buzzing and fingers are in sync, then put the mouthpiece back and try it normally. Also, try alternating slurring and tonguing the passage and make sure you are using your air correctly while tonguing. Oh, and always do this with a metronome. Hope this helps!
