I woke up, about seven months ago, and was almost deaf in my right ear. It was like I didn't get all the water out after my shower. I figured it would come back in a day or so. It didn't! I've been to all the doctors, had MRIs, took all the tests and nobody knows what or why!
I started looking into hearing aids. Have been trying one out for the last month. After many adjustments it still doesn't do the job. Before I got it I talked to the other players in the band (no tuba players had one) and they had all kinds of advice! What seemed to work for them doesn't work for a tuba player. Low sounds, bell close to the head and all that.
Are there any TUBA PLAYERS out there that have found a hearing aid that works for them?
I can't give up music! Help!
