As a music copyist with over 20 years of working in ALL types of copying - the Hollywood Studios, Live Acts, Publishing - I think the suggestions of the Gardner Read tome and the "Essential Dictionary of…" are well worth looking into. One more I could recommend on musical terms is "The Compact Music Dictionary" from Amsco Publications: $5.95. All three books are available from Amazon.com.
