Hello All,
I was just wondering if any of you have played the "alternate" cadenza in the third movement of the Gregson Tuba Concerto? Does it add that much more to the piece? I feel I can play the whole piece pretty top to bottom and now I am starting to really hit the small stuff. Is it really worth it to put in the time with the higher cadenza? The recodring that I have is the Besses O the Brass with Fletcher playing. I would like to hear it both ways if any of you know of a recording with the updated cadenza. Your expertise as always, is greatly appreciated.
