Try Roy Mitchell's Jazz Suite, written originally for Gary Bird at IUP (Indiana, Pennsylvania). I've played it a couple of times and enjoyed it, as has Alan Baer, the Milwaukee Symphony tubist. You need a good rhythm section. (TUBA Press)
Earlier things are "Lonesome Road" by Chris Vadala (former Mangione sax man) which was originally published by Whaling Music, which has been absorbed into Cimarron Music. That's a start.
