if you're standing and walking with a tuba that much, consider the only solution that will really make playing while standing or walking comfortable: a sousaphone! Some BBb sousas (e.g. Conn 20K or 14K) are usually pretty good horns, better in fact than a lot of BBb uprights. As for EEb, you can find Conn 26K or King Ebs for under $1000 in good condition, sometimes with 4 valves. Surely, if you look seriously you'll get a good one for a lot less than a new upright of the same quality.
