I will eventually be in the market for a new CC tuba and was wondering if any of you out there would care to give input and recomendations on the rotary valve CC tubas that are currently available. I will not, unfortunately, have access to a large supply of instruments to test. So, I am looking for input on 4/4 or larger CC rotary valved instruments from other players. I am also intrigued by the reports on the sound of the new Conn 56J but I feel more comfortable with rotaries. Some of the instruments I am currently interested in are Meinl Weston 32, VMI Neptune and Rudy Meinl 4/4 and 5/4. Any info on these instruments is apreciated.
