I've had only one dealing with TE, and it for was for a mouthpiece - not a horn. I was looking for a Marcinkiewicz "concert hall" (heavy weight) type m.p., and they took the time and trouble to describe the m.p. as accurately as they could, over the phone to me.
Granted, there's a lot of difference between buying a horn, and just buying a m.p. However, they were helpful to me, and gave me good price on the item too.

As far as Gronitz goes, I've test played both the PCM and PCK CC tubas. They're both excellent horns for the money. This was at Lowbrasswerks in Campbell, Ca. The big PCK plays almost as well as Tony's handpicked Yorkbrunner, and costs far less money. I would very much like to own a PCM myself, but need to get my finances in better shape first. Anyway, given Tony a call and see if he still has any of the PCM's still in stock. I believe that he just recently received two new ones. Good luck.
