I have another question (maybe a stupid one) about bass bones. What is the difference between the bass bone and a tenor horn? Does the bass bone actually play lower (playing both in first position) or is it just capable of playing lower thanks to the valves? I know bass bones will have a larger shank mouthpiece and larger bore, what are the other differences? Sorry if this question seems silly.
