Hey Chad,

I sold my YFB822S to a Chad back in November of 2002. I wonder if you are the same guy. In any event, what I would suggest is purchasing a bottle of Hetman light piston valve oil. I use nothing but Hetman on my Conn 56J. It is by far the BEST valve oil I have ever used. Before you make a switch to any other valve oil I would make sure and take the valves out of the horn and clean them with soap and warm water. You want to remove any grime and any old valve oil. Then, with the valves out of the cases, remove the back caps. Clean the back caps as well. Next, take a cotton rag and feed it through the casings. What I like to do is use a flute cleaning rod and a piece of an old t-shirt. It works quite well. You want to remove any excess grime and remove as much old valve oil as possible. Now that you have clean valves and clean cases, start using Hetman on your valves. It is awesome!!!

Remember, for best result remove as much OLD valve oil as you can.
