I have to disagree: Having grown up in Houston and lived in Dallas for five years a while back, I can assert with some confidence that Dallas is indeed hotter than Houston, though it is also less humid and my not feel hotter. Even in western Houston, we did get a bit of benefit (and also thunderstorms) from the sea breeze.
