I've never used a Yamaha tuba, but I do have a 642 euph and I found that making sure to put a drop of a heavier oil like rotor oil directly on the little plastic valve guides (tacquets)made quite a difference in how long I can go without a valve sticking. I suspect that normal oiling doesn't get enough lubrication into the valve guide channel - maybe due to the tight valve tolerances. (Pure speculation on my part)
