I have a Weril tuba, 680-s model. I bought it used, sight un-seen. I know ... buyer beware ... but I'm not complaining, just asking for advise.
The 3rd valve feels relatively smooth to play however I take it out there is a "spot" (the last 1/4 of the valve) that is extremely tight. The same when I put it back. I don't know if it is the valve or the valve casing that's the cause.
Also, the 4th valve has an almost "gritty" feel to it as it approaches the bottom of the stroke. There is nothing visible.
Finally, does anyone know where I can get replace nylon (I think?) valve guides?
