I remember the PT22 I played I really liked before I got the Willson. The low register was ok but the second time I played it I was used to the low register of the Willson which is why I might have referred it the PT22 as stuffy. I think the only real problem is the intonation. They tried a spring return on the first valve slide which is new and it does work but it is only really a bandaid not a real fix. Using the slide is kind of strange because they cut the first valve slide quite a bit but spring loaded it to the extended position so you actually push it in for some notes. I guess if one were used to this concept it would be fine. The defining factor for me was when I was quoted a higher price than the Willson's at that time.
