If you are looking for some great use of multiphonics in a "non classical" setting then I would suggest going to www.youngbloodbrassband.com and downloading a tune called "Brooklyn"
The tubist and band leader is Nat Mcintosh.
At 3:42 the tuba solo starts and at 4:21 the multiphonics begin.
I have had the pleasure of seeing the Youngblood Brass Band live twice and all of those sounds that you hear are actually Nat playing and are without electronic assistance.
Enjoy!
