Absolutely! I totally agree with that point. It is just like buying a car, yes your may hear great things about certain cars but you would never buy one sight unseen. You would go , look around the lot, test drive one or more, etc...
I just so happened to be lucky enough to love my teachers horn, which I bought from him, but I will be the first to admit that I was very lucky for the situation. And ot ever teacher I have had owned a horn that I would be willing to spend that kind of money on, even though they all sounded amazing on their horns.
