I own a MW 182 F tuba and have generally been really happy with it. I bought it expressly to contrast the sound of my Mirafone 186 and use for solos. For these applications it was perfect. However, I have since switched to a bigger CC (a B&S PT6), and find the contrast between the two horns to be too stark. Now I am wanting a bigger F tuba.
Before I go and sell this horn and buy a new F tuba, I was curious if any of you out there in tubaland are facing the opposite concern. Perhaps, if someone was looking to trade their bigger F tuba for an itty bitty solo horn, a trade could be struck.
