I find myself wondering -- how good is the ensemble? I've played with groups on occasion that are so out of tune within themselves that I find no frame of reference upon which to base "in tune". If that's the case, there's little you can do about it except to find another group. The sad part is that you probably WILL eventually 'untrain' your ear in such a situation.

The only remedy I know of, other than playing with a better group, is to do lots of critical listening to very good groups (recordings are fine), paying particular attention to intonation.

Also, don't rule out other forms of music to keep your intonation in shape. I began singing somewhat seriously for the first time about 10 years ago, in a very high quality ensemble. I vastly improved my sense of intonation and blend as a result.
