As someone posted below, I worry about hearing loss, since you used to hear better than you do. Have you had a medical exam? Recent cold that went in your ears? I don't know how old you are, or what else you do "to" your hearing, such as listening to loud music over headphones. I have experienced this in the past, but it was due to having my ears blocked via a head cold. It was weird. I wasn't able to fix it on violin, but on tuba I do notice that I can tell via the interference patterns whether I'm on pitch with the ensemble, even if I can't completely hear the pitch.
