Here is Memphis (obviously a much smaller city), the fancy-pants folks either live in one very high-per-sq-ft area of Memphis (two large orthodox synogogues within this area - an obvious draw) or a bordering suburb, Germantown.
Needless to say (as Memphians are not particularly known for their sophistication) there are a lot of "Germantown" jokes.
One commonly repeated joke refers to them as "trailer-trash with credit cards". Yet another speaks of the women "rolling up their Marlboro hardpacks in their tennis socks".
