it wasn't hard to get the impression that they were better horns,
not simply better buys! Oh, the photos in those catalogs? compare them carefully
over the years, and you'll see that the same foto often got used,

Personally I HATE "catalog evidence" but Joes report of actually having seen an "S"
model 184 is good testimony that though the 184's far and away pre-dated that whole
"S" class distinction, that they still lingered on, albeit briefly, later.

So that BBflat 184 had no garland huh? I bet it was a swell horn, I honestly think the 184 BBflat was a more suitable instrument for varied use than the CC, and was a MEAN BQ horn.

Ship the one you have now to me when its ready, I'll give it a blow ;^}
