With all this recent intrest in the Jacobs V-W reissue, it's made me think again. Why not look into redoing some of the old classic recordings to CD? Stuff like the Falcone lps? Bill Bell and his Tuba? The NY Phil Brass Quintet (w/Bell)? The Lehman lps? Chester Schmitz doing Tubby (my FAVORITE recording of this piece, with Julia Child narrating) There is a wealth of great playing out there which younger generations are not being exposed to, and really should I think. There is a lot to learn from listening to Bell or Lehman et al play. Any high mucky-mucks of the ITEA reading this?
