I have approximately 8 crowns in my mouth, one of which is on one of my upper front teeth. The latest crown on this tooth has probably been there at least 20 years, with no problems whatsoever with my tuba playing. I have had several replacements of this crown as I grew older and my mouth changed. The original problem with this tooth was a chip by a playful stone thrown by a friend at the age about 10 or so. Of the other crowns, I have only had 2 of the molar crowns come loose. They were easily glued back in by the dentist.

You shouldn't have any problem with a crown as regards your tuba playing. Just be sure to take plenty of novacaine for the procedure!
