As far as Private Instructors go, I recommend seeing if Brian Meixner is available. He's at teaching Assistant at UNT currently. I took lessons from him for three years while he lived in Kentucky, and he's a fantastic teacher, and a hell of a musician. What ever you have to do to get a lesson with him (or more) it would be well worth it.
