Well, I can see that this has gotten out of hand.

For the record:

1. I was not at home and did not bang on a bookend because I don't understand my wife. I have a whole list of things I can do at home when I don't understand my wife.

2. The computer I would have needed to use to record the bookend banging would have been up in the office anyway, not in the basement. Sheesh!

3. My wife does not pat me on the head. Well, not usually. Okay, not every day.

4. My wife is the cute one, and we both know it.

5. My socks match. At least they do when I remember to wear them.

6. My wife is even more likely to lose her car keys than I am (and yes it is a problem).
