I'm a college freshman that just bought a PT-6. I'm very happy with it even though it is a large horn. That advice that I got was in line with what all were saying, except I never got advice on a specific horn. They just told me to not settle for something. Buy what you want to play, and would like to play for the rest of your life. I have a concept of what I want my sound to be and the PT-6 produces that sound; even though that may change, the place I'm out now, the PT-6 is for me. :)
