Tubas do not project, nor do they blend. People do.

Off the top of my head (prone to error):
Rex Martin has played Rudis in the Chicago Symphony.
Michael Moore in Atlanta plays a Rudi F.
Ellis Wean formerly played a 5/4 Rudi.
There is a gentleman in New Jersey (i forgot his name) that plays a pair of 3/4 Rudis.
Steve Rosse sometimes plays (played?) a 5/4 BBb in the Sydney Symphony
The 5/4 Rudy BBb is a very popular tuba in Germany for professional use. Heiko Triebener (sp?) was a champion of this instrument for awhile.
Sam Gnagey plays a 5/4 Rudi.
Russ Dickman plays a Rudi in the Reno Phil.

Cheers,
Christian Klein
