Would I prefer a Miraphone, probably, but it wasn't in the cards financially at this point. I'm starting to play again after 24 years, and the St. Pete met my needs, came at a good price from an excellent source (Dave at Baltimore Brass) and it sounds pretty good (at least to my rusty ear).
