I play a CC Kalison DS for quintet, but have used the Rudy 5/4 with good results--the horn is so responsive early, that soft passages speak without the fog-horn petulance. I would have no problems in using the borrowed Rudy full-time if I owned one like it. I even play with a Monette 98 m'piece!
