The rudeness of that particular response was of no more significance than the message within the rude response.

Rather than all of the original inquirer's questions, the only thing they need for a "professional brass quintet" is some paid performances. Once those have been secured, all of the answers to their questions will be self-providing.

However, I think once the original poster secures their engagements and finds themself playing as many of these as they desire, they will discover - as I did about 25 years ago - that few of these engagements - though most tend to be quite lucrative - are very gratifying (weddings, background music for exhibits, in-school performances of pieces appealing to 10-year-olds [actually somewhat gratifying], and (tomorrow morning, as a matter of fact) an under-an-open-sided-tent engagement as background music for the fancy-pants folks to have the first "private viewing" of our metro zoo's new panda bears exhibit (' really looking forward to the artistic triumphs which will abound during those musical interactions). Though all of these listed gigs with the finest brass players in town and lucrative engagements all, certainly not the artistic life of the "Canadian Brass", etc.
