Adding another 2 cents worth: Even thought it's been a long time since I've seen him, I know that Roger is one of the very few people who understood the entirety of Arnold Jacobs method of teaching. He is first, a fine musician and I am sure he is still a marvelous sounding tuba player. However, what got me about Roger was that he had the same warmth that Mr. Jacobs had in lessons.
I highly recommend that you go and hear or study with Roger if you want to understand what Arnold Jacobs was all about. It will make you a better musician.
