Well Mr. Sheridan, If you don't get around to responding to these questions just know that I agree generaly with you- but not completely. I think that criticism is very important in the growth of a person(musician). We need to criticaly evaluate everything we play in order to progress. Further we would do well do critically evaluate those professionals like you Mr. Sheridan so as to get better as well.
I do agree that music can't be found on the page; It comes from the mind and or heart. Consequently the human has the resposibility of being creative every single time they choose to claim to be a musician. Therefore, it must be said that we need to break away from the ink, because it was first concieved in the mind... That sort of thing.
I hope to hear from you in some fashion.
