If you have already been accepted to a college, I can't advise strongly enough to check with your music instructor BEFORE you buy anything. Some schools REQUIRE a CC tuba for music students. If that is the case, and you want an AMERICAN horn, check out the Conn CC tubas, which are (I believe) based on the King tuba - at least in the valve section. If a BBb is okay, I don't think you can get a better buy for the money than a 2341, IMHO. (Okay, so I'm an unabashed King fan.) In any case, TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. Hope this is helpful.
