I have played this this particular model my entire playing career (25 years), there are many more choices of instruments now, and I have tried to keep up with the trends and developments. I am curious what other Mirafone players feel about this style of sound. The dynamic range seems to be the biggest issue, and prehaps the narrower delivery of sound. Of course, early on, some very influential players were endorsing them at a time when many developing players were looking for guidance. Some questions to long time players of this model: Does this style of sound still have relevance? Mouthpieces Solutions? (I have used these for extended periods, on the Mirafone 186 CC - Schilke Helleberg 2, Mirafone Rose Solo, Marcinciewitz H3, Mirafone Rose Orchestra, Canadian Brass Jacobs Model.
