In my experience, the pros of rotary valves are:
Easier to play in faster passages
Less need for oiling(1-2 times/month)
More comfortable(in some cases)than front-piston valves
Cons
Sometimes harder to slur
Valve slides in weird places
Maintenance costs(Hetmann oil is expensive!)
Pistons generally have a faster action, but the fourth valve on the Cerveny would make life much easier. What kind of horn are you playing right now? If it is a piston, there would be a short acclimation period to the rotors, but you would get used to them.
