Well, now that spring is here so is my asthma. As a 50+ recreational player, lung capacity is already an issue, but asthma makes it worse. A deep breath to fill the lungs can set off a coughing fit, which is often frowned upon during a concert.
I'm using the usual array of medications and inhalers. Some help the chest but dry the mouth. Others do little more than fog the already foggy brain.
Just wonder how other similarily afflicted tubists cope and if breating expercises help or hinder.
