I've just got one two months ago at this Japanese music store and was made around the 1970's. Some features are:
-a dark sound (for a C tuba. which is a feature in most MW's)
-it's a just a little bit stuffy and you have to have control in your air (the low notes between low A to Gb is especially stuffy. Kinda like an F tuba).
-The fifth valve slide is straight, so you have to pull that out a lot (because of this, it's been really uncomfortable for my left hand to have access to the first valve slide)
-the silver rim might start buzzing (rarely. depends on age I'm guessing)
