I don't have issues with the ergonomics of the 822 because I use a stand a place the tuba a comfortable angle for my hand. BTW, I am realy glad I bought my tuba stand because it relieves the lower back of straining and thighs from that crushing sensation. I think that ergonomics aren't stressed enough in tuba playing, or any instrument for that manner. Too many musicians suffer debilitating injuries they don't need to if they sought help from physical therapists. Perhaps no instument is truly perfect for the human body. We adapt in our own way as best we can.
