I have heard of this being done for years to remove the "pop" when a slide is pulled. I have never played on a horn where this was done. Just wondering if some of you can give your .02 worth of experience with this procedure. Some I have talked to think it is very bad, others seem to love it. I think I will keep the drill put away for a while until I hear some feedback. I play a Miraphone 186-4u. Anybody tested porting on that horn?
