This thread was started in regards to a person who wants to be a performing tubist, one who is willing to sacrifice to achieve life goals and passions. Why cop out when one is still young?
I, personally, get tired of hearing of frustrated individuals who wave the flag of parenthood as an excuse of unrealized dreams. I for one, established myself long before I married and have yet to have kids because my dream is not yet fully realized. It's called planned parenthood. Who wants a dad who wishes he was doing something else. Pursue your dream as long as it takes to be a happy person. THEN think about wife and kids. Not the other way around. Then you become just another dad at a little league game living his life through his kid. Foresight combined with careful planning can lead to a wonderful life.
